Polyfest

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the PPolyolyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

I think students from other high schools perform at Polyfest because they want to show their culture to other people.They also Learn more about their culture and make their mum proud of course.

Practice the dance.	Listen to the song a lot then sing it.	attend practice every day.
Listen to your tutor.	Be sensible to your friends and group.	Don’t let your team down by not coming on the day.

Polyfest promotes other cultures by bringing them together and performing a special dance from their country and show other cultures what they Represent.

I’m looking forward to see the amazing haka’s and gailau’s and seeing the winner of the tongan and niuean performers.

Last week my Zeal Zone group named Kai time made yummy wraps It was our first Time.Let me tell you our Ingredient's first we used tortilla and then we butter'd it with hummus then you add Ham,graded Carrots,Lettuce and Salad dressing.

Malo lelei my name is Tiulipe Junior Mapa but you can call me Junior. I am eleven years old and a year seven.I came to P.T England when I was seven years old.I am in a family of five.I have Two older brothers and sisters and Two younger brother and sister so that makes me the middle child. I was born in the U.S.A Oakland California But I’m not Actually American.

My Favorite food is K.F.C because I like Chicken and pepsi.My favorite subject is reading because it is really cool and I always read.

I was the only one in my family born in America.I came to new zealand in 2007.My grandmother is still lives there.Speaking of country’s I am soon going to move to melbourne to live with the rest of my family. but not all of them are there me and my brother stayed because of me I wanted to stay longer.

My passion is rugby one day I want become a pro Rugby League Player for any team.My Mum is European and Tongan and my Dad is full Tongan.My Mum’s Religion is Methidos and My Dad’s Religion is Mormon.

My hobbies are Training,Gaming  and Watching movie’s My favorite game is C.O.D Advanced warfare and G.T.A. 5.My Favorite movie is Maze Runer.and I really like to train for rugby games or play kicks with my friends thier names are Jay.T and Daniel They both go to Pamure Bridge school.
